Geraldine's Counter is a true gem for breakfast, brunch, and lunch lovers! The food here is simply delicious. The standout item on the menu has to be the French toast--it's the most incredible thing I've tasted, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The pancakes were equally delightful, soft and fluffy, making for a wonderful start to the day. **A heads up: parking can be limited, so it's wise to carpool or arrive early, especially since it gets busy.** Our server was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The team seemed well-organized, which helped keep the flow of food moving smoothly. Overall, a fantastic dining experience! I can't wait to come back! I absolutely LOVE Geraldine's Counter when I'm in town.

Oh Geraldine's. Something is def to be said about an institution that's been around for nearly 20 years!! RIP Gary Snyder! Glad we stopped by before my flight back home. If you're thinking about it, yes, the wait is justified. The food, still awesome The staff, still awesome The art inside, still awesome Don't skip the french toast. It's life changing.

We went on a Saturday morning for brunch. There was quite a line but we got seated around 20-30 mins. The French toast was probably my favorite thing that I got. It was very crispy but still soft in the center. I see why everyone raves about it. I got the chicken fried steak and it was decent. There wasn't any thing special about the gravy. The hash browns were nice and crispy. My friend got the pesto scrambled and it was delicious! I would recommend trying it if you love pesto. The inside felt very homie and we received excellent service!

I try to come here every week, if not every 2 weeks. One of my favorite brunch places to come to when I'm craving breakfast foods. Service is always really nice and quick! All the times I've come here, I've been seated right away. If there is a wait, it isn't long at all it goes by pretty quickly. I love getting the corned beef hash here, it's super tender and fatty and comes with a nice variety of veggies. Whenever I'm craving pancakes I get the slammin' with scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. They rotate their pancake, french toast, and coffee cake flavors often so there's always something new! They have it posted on a white board at the front door for you to see along with daily specials. Definitely stop by if you're in columbia city

Stopped by for brunch on Saturday morning. There was a longer line but the wait itself was only around 20 minutes. Super cute casual spot in cute neighborhood. I ordered the pesto scrambled eggs with hash browns and sourdough toast. I highly recommend this dish and as a pesto lover, could have even used a dollop of pesto to top off the eggs. The hasbrowns were super crispy and toast paired great with the eggs. We ordered the French toast for the table since this is their staple dish. And I can see why. It wasn't too eggy (which I prefer) and was suuuuuper crispy in the best way. If you come here, you have to try the French toast.

Such a perfect brunch spot! I came here with my sister on Saturday around 1pm and it was quite busy and lively. But we only had to wait about 15 minutes before we were seated at the counter. Service was fantastic! I requested the emerald city scramble with egg whites only and they were very accommodating. My sister got the corned beef hash with a biscuit on the side. Both dishes were delicious and very satisfying. The biscuit was especially tasty! It had a lovely crisp on the outside and was moist and fluffy on the inside. Would love to try their French toast next time because it looks epic!

My friends and I were hoping to check out this brunch spot in Columbia City, so called the best brunch spot in Seattle! Great service and very friendly waiters. The food was decently priced and everything was super delicious. It's nothing fancy, the menu tells you what it is, but I had no complaints to offer about anything. We ordered a few sweet and savory options, and they also had seasonal drinks to try out. They offer Mexican and American options to try, and they were all delicious.

HIGHLIGHT OF OUR SEATTLE TRIP!!! Safe to say, this was the best 2 meals we ate in Seattle, and yummy enough for us to come back twice on a 4 day trip. I think this was the most quintessential diner I've ever been in vibe-wise and food-wise haha. Every single dish we ordered was a hit! We got biscuits and gravy, a sandwich, french toast, granola, egg scramble with mushrooms and kale (daily special), and a disassembled breakfast taco plate (can't remember the name of that dish). French toast was the fan favorite of my group, it was so crispy yet soft and had delicious fruit on top.

I love this diner! The crispy hash browns & pancakes came highly recommended and I agree with those recommendations! The daily special during my visit was the applesauce pancake with cinnamon butter, it was heaven in a bite paired with warm maple syrup! The hash browns with onions and extra peppers were so good, I like that they use red onion instead of white. The portions are big and the ingredients were all super fresh. We were a party of 2 and we split one full order of pancakes and one order of hash browns. We both left stuffed and there was food leftover. I can't wait to come back and try more menu items the next time I'm in town. Check out the other businesses on (and surrounding) Rainier street after your meal - it's a great way to walk off the food.
